Economic Analyst / Software Developer – Fairfax, VA
Analysts participate in and often supervise small groups which work to analyze the competitive performance of electricity markets. Analysts will contribute to market monitoring reports and expert testimony, investigate the conduct of buyers and sellers in a competitive electricity market, and develop recommendations for market improvements.
This is a technical position, as analysts utilize SAS, SQL, .NET, VBscript, and other programs to develop and support software used in our monitoring processes. Experience in macro language, data manipulation techniques, and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred. Experience in Windows Server operating systems and network administration is also a plus.
Requirements include a bachelor's or master's degree in economics, statistics, or related field and at least two years of consulting experience.
